Wastewater treatment installations using Darco Tanks must be engineered for each specific application. Since the smallest vessel we manufacture is 2000 gallons, our systems are normally too large for single family homes.
Darco wastewater treatment installations are more likely to be used in commercial sites, restaurants, campgrounds, and other applications where process capacity is 2700 gallons or more. Darco Staff will work with your Wastewater Engineer to generate a design for approval by the local authority having jurisdiction over on-site wastewater treatment and disposal systems.
Our tanks are also commonly used as "sewage storage vaults" where no public sewer is available and on-site treatment is not feasible. Often this is a temporary situation where wastewater must be stored and hauled away by truck until such time as another means of dealing with the waste can be implemented. Sewage vaults generally run from 4,000 to 10,000 gallons in capacity. Vaults must be engineered and approved for each specific application and site. Darco offers a modular "progressive fill" design that increases pumping efficiency and reduces operational expense.

Darco polyethylene OcTanks or fiberglass tanks are preferred by Building Officials in environmentally sensitive areas because they are manufactured as a one-piece vessel without seams, completely water tight, and unaffected by the acids generated from human waste which routinely attack concrete and steel vaults. Darco offers a variety of manway appurtenances, a mechanical level gauge, and a level (pump out) alarm.
